Kerry is a highly respected attorney, conveyancer, and notary known for her sharp legal mind and exceptional ability to find practical solutions to complex legal matters. With a strong background in litigation and a deep passion for property law, she marries the two skill sets to bring a unique and valuable perspective to her work at Hengst & McMaster.

Kerry obtained her B.Proc degree from the University of Johannesburg  (formally known as RAU) in 2000. During her studies she worked for the Honourable Judge Michael Stegmann and was exposed to several high-profile cases. She completed her articles at Tim du Toit Inc. in 2001 and was admitted as an attorney in 2003.

She began her career specialising in litigation at Shaban Clark Attorneys before establishing Hengst & McMaster in 2005. Since then, Kerry has built a reputation for her tenacity, insight, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best outcomes for her clients.

As a leader Kerry encourages and provides a happy work environment for her employees, she is a firm believer that happy employees produce great results and service. Kerry is very proud that the moment a client walks into the offices of Hengst & McMaster, they feel that wholesome energy.

A core value Kerry demands of herself and her employees is that our clients must feel like they are the most important person in the room because they are. From the moment they visit our offices and/or connect telephonically/digitally. The client is not dependent on us, we are dependent on the client. The client is not interrupting work but they are the very purpose of the work we do. The client is not an outsider in our business but part of our business. There is no such thing as a small or big client, EVERY client is important and without our valued clients there is no Hengst & McMaster. Kerry is very passionate as a leader to ensure these values is the DNA of Hengst & McMaster.

Outside of work, when she manages to find the time, Kerry is glued to the sports channel. Kerry has her South African colours in Karate and had the privilege to represent South Africa at the World Shukokai Karate Champions held in Japan and placed first in unison kata and second in kumite. Kerry shares her days with Abby, her beloved dog and unofficial office mascot. Kerry values and treasures her family and every moment spent with her son, who keeps her on her toes and smiling.
