Alicia is a candidate attorney currently completing her articles at Hengst & McMaster, where she’s gaining invaluable experience across various areas of law. She’s fortunate to be mentored by the incredible Kerry McMaster, whose supportive and hands-on guidance is helping Alicia grow in confidence and skill every day.

She completed her BA in Law with Psychology at North-West University in 2022, followed by her LLB in 2024. Her academic background, combined with the practical experience she’s gaining at Hengst and McMaster, reflects her commitment to becoming a well-rounded and effective legal professional.

Blending her strong academic foundation with the real-world experience she’s gaining at Hengst & McMaster, Alicia is well on her way to becoming a thoughtful, capable, and well-rounded legal professional.

Alicia is passionate about using the law to help those who need it most. She believes in empowering people through knowledge and ensuring they understand their rights, options, and the legal pathways available to them.

Alicia brings a lot of laughter and positive energy to the office, is very confident and has a “ I can do it all” attitude and delivers accordingly and never says no to a challenge.

Outside of work, Alicia is a true social butterfly who loves meeting new people and exploring new places. She’s all about spending time with family and friends whether that means spontaneous road trips, last-minute plans, or just trying something new. Always up for a laugh, a change of scenery, and a bit of chaos, she believes the best memories are usually the unplanned ones.

Fun fact: Alicia never used to drink coffee but since starting her articles, she’s become a fully committed coffee person (with a go-to order and everything).
